Domestic Rates and Fees
The forward letter rate increased during this period with the re-introduction of the 1 cent War Tax, which resulted in the release of previously unissued Admiral stamps as well as the surcharging of the 2 cent Arch denomination. Air Mail letter rates saw an increase from 5 cents to 6 cents for the first ounce.
1. Forward Letter
a) July 1, 1926 - June 30, 1931
The forward letter rate was 2 cents for each ounce.

b) From July 1, 1931
The 1 cent War Tax was re-imposed on the forward letter rate. The letter rate was increased to 3 cents for the first ounce ( 2 cents letter rate + 1 cent War Tax). The 2 cent rate for each subsequent ounce was unchanged.

Redirected Local Letter
Redirected letters were not liable to any additional postage provided the change of address did not require the letter to be sent to any place to which the postage rate was higher. If the change required a higher rate, additional postage had to be prepaid or postage due charges collected on delivery. Only the single deficiency was to be collected.
