Centennial Period Slogan Cancellations : 1970
A major change in Canadian slogans occurred in 1970. Canada Post Office required that proposed slogans be submitted in both English and French pursuant to the country's official bilingual status. Although a few English-only slogan dies manufactured before the implementation of the bilingual policy were still in use, all 1970 dies were bilingual.
