1976 Olympic Games, Water Sports
Three semi-postal stamps (8c+2c, 10c+5c, 15c+5c) commemorating the 1976 Olympic games began Canada Post's 1975 stamp schedule on February 5, 1975.

1976 Olympic Games, Sculptures
On March 14, 1975, two high value Olympic stamps were issued featuring the sculptures of Robert Tait McKenzie. "The Sprinter" and "The Plunger" were shown on the $1.00 and $2.00 stamps respectively.

Indians Series, Indians of the Subarctic
Canada Post continued the Indians of Canada series with four stamps dedicated to the Indians of the subarctic issued on April 4, 1975.
Shering Corporation Generic Cachet
In 1975, Schering Corporation discontinued mailing out first day covers with cachets specific to the stamp being issued. Instead, a generic cachet featuring the 3 pence beaver was used for all its promotional covers.

The stamps commemorating Canadian authors Lucy Maud Montgomery and Louis Hemon showed illustrations of characters from their novels. The two stamps were issued on May 15, 1975.

Dr. J. Cook, Presbyterian Church
On May 30, Canada Post issued stamps honouring Marguerite Bourgeoys, one of the founders of Montreal, and Alphonse Desjardins, the founder of the Caisse Populaire (Credit Union). Two English-Canadian ministers were commemorated on the same day: Dr. S.D. Chown and Dr. J. Cook, of the United and Presbyterian Churches respectively.

The United Nations declared 1975 to be International Women's Year. Susan McPhee of Montreal designed the International Women's Year stamp for the Canada Post Office, issued on July 14, 1975. She made use of an elegant graphic variation of the female symbol.
