The Cameo Issue : Introduction

The Cameo issue replaced the Wilding definitves in three steps:

1. October 3, 1962 : 5 cent denomination :
2. February 4, 1963 : 1 cent and 4 cents denominations
3. May 2, 1963 : 2 cent and 3 cent denominations :

(The 6 cent value was not replaced)


The rich colours and design simplicity make this a visually appealing series of stamps. The design was executed by Mr. Ernst Roch of Montreal.
