3. From October 1, 1970
The rates had been in effect since November 1, 1963. Covers shown in this section were registered for the minimum indemnity ( 35 cents for up to $25).

addressee was not present when the mail carrier attended on April 12,
1967 and April 13, 1967. A card advising that the addressee that
registered mail was at the post office. The addressee did not pick up
the letter. The Toronto Post Office applied a "NOT CALLED FOR" handstamp
and returned the letter to the sender.
